Terms & Conditions
1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions (Terms) apply to your use of our website and any purchases you make from us.
By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or place an order.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place your order will apply.
2. Who we are
This website is operated by The Eleventh Edit Limited (we, us, our).
Registered office: 279 Chanterlands Ave, Hull HU5 4DS
Company number: 16431261
Contact: contact@theeleventhedit.com
3. Eligibility and consumer sales only
You must be at least 18 years old (or have permission from a parent or guardian) and be authorised to use the payment method you provide.
We sell to consumers only. Purchases for resale, wholesale, distribution, or other commercial purposes are not permitted.
4. Products and descriptions
We take care to describe and photograph products accurately. However:
-
colours may vary by screen/device
-
natural materials can vary slightly between batches
-
small tolerances can occur in measurements
Nothing in these Terms affects your rights if goods are faulty, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality.
5. Waitlist and pre-orders (how our model works)
The Eleventh Edit is a slow fashion brand. Most (or all) items are offered on a waitlist and/or pre-order basis only.
When you place a pre-order:
-
payment is taken in full at checkout
-
your place on the pre-order list is allocated on a first come, first served basis
-
the pre-order list remains open until we reach the required order numbers with our factory
-
once the pre-order list closes, the collection may be archived and may not return in the same style or colourway
Estimated production timelines are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. You will be kept updated throughout.
6. Forming the contract
After you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation email acknowledging receipt. Your order is accepted (and the contract is formed) when we send you a confirmation that your pre-order has been accepted and processed.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order at any time, including where:
-
an item is unavailable
-
we suspect fraud or misuse
-
an order breaches our unit limits or appears to be for resale
-
there is an obvious pricing or listing error
If we cancel your order, we will refund you in full.
7. Prices, payment, and errors
All prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already accepted.
If a pricing or product description error is discovered after you order, we may contact you to reconfirm at the correct price or cancel the order with a full refund.
8. Unit limits and anti-resale policy
To keep pieces accessible and reduce reselling at inflated prices, we limit purchases to a maximum of two units per product, per customer.
We may cancel or reduce quantities in orders that appear to breach this limit or appear to be placed for resale. If we do, we will refund any cancelled items.
9. Delivery and dispatch
Once production is complete and your items are ready to ship, orders are dispatched via a tracked delivery service, which typically takes 1-5 working days from dispatch (excluding public holidays). Standard delivery applies to mainland UK only. For non-mainland UK locations, including the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles and Scottish Highlands and Islands (including Orkney and Shetland), additional delivery charges may apply. We will contact customers before dispatch to confirm any additional costs.
Estimated timelines (for example, 8-12 weeks or 2-3 months) are estimates only. If delays occur, we will inform you.
Where delivery cannot be made within the timeframe agreed with you, you may be entitled to cancel for a refund in line with your statutory rights.
10. Your right to cancel
If you are a UK consumer buying online, you generally have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days after the day you receive your goods, without giving a reason.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must tell us clearly by email to contact@theeleventhedit.com within the 14-day period.
If you cancel, you must return the goods within 14 days of telling us you are cancelling. We can withhold your refund until we receive the goods back and inspect them to ensure they are returned appropriately and are fit for resale.
This right to cancel may not apply to certain items (for example, personalised or made-to-specification goods). If we ever sell items that fall into an exemption, we will make this clear on the product page and at checkout.
11. Returns, refunds, and returns fee
Our Returns Policy forms part of these Terms.
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery. You must notify us within this period if you wish to return your item. Customers are responsible for the cost of returning items. Customers must ensure they use a tracked or recorded service and retain your proof of postage. When returning an item, customers must include their name and order number inside the package so we can identify their return. We cannot process returns that cannot be matched to an order.
Until a returned item is received by us, it remains the customer’s responsibility. We cannot be held accountable for items lost in transit.
Customers can return items to the following returns address:
Returns address:
The Eleventh Edit
The Studio
1 Lambert Green,
Beverley,
United Kingson
HU17 0ZU
Returns must meet our conditions (unworn, unused, original condition, with all tags and packaging). If returned items show signs of wear, use, marks, odours, damage, or are not in their original condition, the return will be rejected and the item will be sent back to you at your expense.
12. Faulty or incorrect items
If your item is faulty, damaged, or you received the wrong item, contact us as soon as possible with details and photographs.
In these cases, we will cover reasonable return postage. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
13. Chargebacks and payment disputes
If you believe there is an issue with your order, please contact us first so we can resolve it quickly. Unnecessary chargebacks can delay resolution for both parties.
14. Website use and prohibited activity
You must not misuse our website, including by:
-

attempting to gain unauthorised access
-

17. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:
-
death or personal injury caused by our negligence
-
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
-
any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under law
Otherwise, we are not liable for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or for business losses (such as loss of profits, revenue, or goodwill). This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
18. Privacy
